The Master Degree in Management for the Creative Industries is organized by the School of Arts and Católica Porto Business School, Catholic University of Porto, with the support of CCD - Digital Creativity Center.

 

The current economic, social and cultural development of the European Union aims towards the stimulation and promotion of creative and cultural industries as one of the main lines of action for development. In this context, the market requires exponentially greater quantity and quality of audiovisual content, requiring professional training with a strong Technical, Cultural, Ethical, and Creative Arts. Since 1997, this is the proposed University education offered by the School of Arts at the Catholic University in Porto.

 

Católica Porto Business School, Portuguese Catholic University in Porto (EGF - UCP) is already a school of reference for the study of Economics and Management in Portugal. To achieve this it relies on a team of highly qualified and motivated young teachers.
Innovation, internationalization and excellence are the fundamental purposes of the College. The Faculty has a central ambition of forming highly qualified professionals towards successful careers within the country or abroad. Allied to this ambition comes the development of academic research of internationally recognized quality and the development of Consulting and External Community oriented projects.

Employment in the Cultural and Creative sector between 2000-2006, recorded a cumulative growth of 4.5%, well above the cumulative growth of employment at national level of 0.4%.
