The Black&White Audiovisual Festival - 3rd Edition
Date: 30, 31 of March and 1 of April, 2006

The Black&White Audiovisual Festival appears as an exceptional event. All over the world. Founded in 2004, by the Escola das Artes da Universidade Católica Portuguesa, B&W has been recognized by artists, academies and also by the film industry as one of most interesting film events on the festival calendar. Each festival showcases over 150 audiovisual works from around the world, including photography, video and audio works. A renowned international jury panel will appreciate the works in competition. The most prominent Portuguese film Director, Manoel de Oliveira is our Honorary President.

The festival is known as “the voice for B&W aesthetics” and receives extensive coverage in all major media, including: Público, Jornal de Notícias, Expresso, Diário de Notícias, Première, TSF, Rádio Nova, among others and also in web sites all over the world.

Black&White always attracts many global entries, including, Australia, China, Brazil, Canada, Croatia, India, Ireland, France, Germany, the Netherlands, Russia, Spain, the UK , United States and all over Portugal. The scope of the festival ranges from high profile to novice, so audiences can experience an array of films and individuals driven by independent movie making.
